The Mirik block committee of All India Hill Trinamool Congress held a meeting today under the chairmanship of block committee president Rajesh Chettri. The meeting was attended by Hill TMC president Rajen Mukhia along with representatives from several unit and booth committees under the Mirik block. The meeting focused on the matters of strengthening the party in the region.
Informing about the discussions held in the meeting Mukhia said the Chief Minister will be visiting Mirik on January 21 and the block committee is gearing up for welcoming her. He said two GJM supporters Lwang Yonzon and Amir Yonzon from Bisale Gaon were also welcomed into the party today. Besides, today’s meeting also saw appointment of Indramani Pradhan and Indra Mijar as coordinators of party’s Mirik Municipality Ward no. 3 and Ghayabaree tea garden committees respectively.
