New Delhi Gorkhaland Movement : Jan Awaaz held a meeting in New Delhi on 26th January 2014. Symbolic of its being an organisation of the Janta, the meeting was held in the open at the Deer Park.

The meeting passed a resolution in which Jan Awaaz noted that the deadline for consideration on Telengana bill in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly is approaching on the 30th of January. It is surprising that even in the context of this important development, the elected representatives of the Gorkhas are keeping silent on the issue of Gorkhaland.Jan Awaaz resolves to be committed to uncompromisingly work for the cause of Gorkhaland.

Jan Awaaz also discussed strategies and plans for the days to come.of Gorkhaland.

At the same time Munish Tamang will be in Guwahati and then to Udalguri where he has been invited as Chief Guest for the Annual Convention of AGSU on 29th January.

On 30th he will be in Siliguri from where he would commence his tour of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Mirik, Dooars, and other places.
