Soureni - BJP election manifesto ‘fake’: TMC Binni Sharma

Mirik - Hill Trinamool spokesperson Binni Sharma has termed the BJP election manifesto as a fake. Sharma, who was present in Soureni to inaugurate a party office, compared the BJP supplemented manifesto with duplicate Chinese goods that look alike the originals. He added now the hills will not run under a “dictatorial and oppressive one-party rule”. Sharma also appealed to the voters to vote for their most preferred candidate on April 17, but also warned them to remain alert of GJM leadership who are running a “contract-land” in the pretext of Gorkhaland.

Sharma said hill folks have voted under the command of a particular dominant party since years and this time they are free to choose the candidate on their own. Persuading people to vote against GJM backed BJP candidate, Sharma said on the earlier occasion BJP leader Jaswant Singh made huge promises to the hill people only to deceive them. GJM has again imported a BJP candidate, who neither knows Nepali language nor knows anything about the hills. He also thanked GNLF supremo Subash Ghising for backing Padmashree and Arjuna Award winner TMC candidate Bhaichung Bhutia.

Launching attacks on GJM chief, Sharma alleged, “In this LS elections Bimal Gurung is neither concerned with Gorkhaland agenda nor with the benefit of public. His worry isn’t about elections itself. The only concern he has is defending his own existence.”

Following the party office inauguration, the TMC youth wing also conducted a rally covering the entire Mirik town.
