Sikkim: KN Rai is nominated for ‘Standing Committee of the All India Presiding Officers Conference’ and Follow up Subcommittee of the Standing Committee of the India Presiding Officers Conferernce’ by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha
As per a Press communiqué received from the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Secretariat, K.N. Rai, Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly has been nominated as member of the ‘Standing Committee of the All India Presiding Officers Conference’ by Sumitra Mahajan, Speaker, Lok Sabha. The committee consists of eight members and Sumitra Mahajan is the Chairman of the Committee.
Further, Speaker, Sikkim Legislative Assembly has also been nominated as member of the ‘Follow up Subcommittee of the Standing Committee of the India Presiding Officers Conferernce’ by the Speaker, Lok Sabha. Dr. A. Chakrapani, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council is the Convener of the Committee, which consists of five members.(IPR)
