Darjeeling MP SS Ahluwalia along with the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Delegation led by Bimal Gurung, Shri Anit Thapa, Shri Arun Sigchi and Shri Dawa Lepcha paid a courtesy visit to Shri Arun Jaitley , Hon'ble Finance Minster and Hon'ble Defence Minister.
The GJM delegation apprised him about GTA youth to be considered for recruitment in the Police, Army and Para Military Forces and the establishment of a Sainik School in GTA area as mentioned in the GTA agreement.
The Hon'ble Minster has assured immediate opening of the Sainik School and also the reopening of the lebong race course.
The Hon'ble Minister has also assured full cooperation regarding Central Assistance in all Central Government projects in GTA area.
Shri Arun Jaitley Ji has also agreed to intervene for reopening of the closed Oberoi Hotel in Darjeeling.
