late Arpana Bomzon Memorial Knockout Football Tournament kicks off

The late Arpana Bomzon Memorial Knockout Football Tournament  started today here at the Tharbu Primary School ground. Organised by Sky Lark, the chief guest for the inaugural day was Mirik Municipality’s vice chairman MK Zimba, while the GJM central committee leader SS Ghisingh was present as the guest of honour. The tournament started after the guests and members of the participating teams offered their respect to late Arpana Bomzon. There are a total of 30 teams participating in the tournament from the Hills, Dooars and Terai region. The finals of the tournament will be played on October 19.

In the first game today was played between Francis Club and United Singbuli Games and Sports Committee, while the second match was played between Okety Godam 11 ‘A’ against Mirik Police ‘B’.
