Subramanian Swamy Writes to Home Minister Requesting Steps to be Taken to Form GORKHA PRADESH
Senior BJP leader and National Executive Member Dr. Unofficial: Dr. Subramanian Swamy has written to the Home Minister Rajnath Singh asking him to take steps that will lead to the formation of a Gorkha Pradesh.
As promised during his talk on the Gorkhaland Seminar, Dr. Swamy has asked the Home Minister to create a post of Additional Chief Secretary and Additional DGP for the GTA (Gorkhaland Territorial Administration.)
Dr. Swamy also write to Nitin Gadhkari to fix the NH 55 and formally wrote to the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and Law Minister Shri. D. V. Sadananda Gowda on forming an additional bench of High Court in Darjeeling.
It might be recalled that Dr. Swamy had explained that these steps will help to move the GTA away from the influence of Bengal government, and will make GTA more powerful, and in turn eventually help in the formation of Gorkhaland statehood.
We thank Dr. Swamy and we are hopeful that with his support and continued perusal of this matter will eventually lead to the formation of Gorkhaland statehood.
