RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF SUB-INSPECTOR/LADY SUB INSPECTOR OF POLICE (UNARMED BRANCH) AND SUB-INSPECTOR OF POLICE (ARMED BRANCH) IN WEST BENGAL POLICE

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens having following eligibility criteria for
recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector of Police (Unarmed Branch)
and Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Branch) in West Bengal Police.

Eligibility Criteria : -
(1) Age : -
The applicant must not be less than 20 (Twenty) years old and must not be more
than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2018. The upper age limit shall be relaxed
by 05 (five) years for the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC)
& Scheduled Tribes (ST) and by 03 (Three) years for the candidates belonging to the
category of Other Backward Classes (OBC).

The upper age limit for the Departmental candidates of West Bengal Police only shall be
relaxable upto 35 years which shall further be relaxed by 5 (Five) years in case of
Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates and by 3 (Three) years in the case of
Other Backward Classes candidates.

(2) Educational Qualifications : -The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent.

(3) Language : -
The applicant must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali. However,
this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill
sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.

IMPORTANT DATES
Application Forms may be submitted through on-line or off-line modes during the period
from 06.04.2018 to 05.05.2018 (5 PM).

The last date of receipt of filled in Application Form through postal services (for off-line
applicants) is 05.05.2018 (5 PM).


The last date of deposit of Application and/or Processing Fees in respect of only the
applicants applying through on-line using United Bank of India Challan will be 10.05.2018
during banking hours due to technical reasons.

NOTICE
Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens having following eligibility criteria for recruitment to the post of Constables in West Bengal Police. NVF, Home Guard personnel and Civic Volunteers serving in West Bengal Police only are also eligible to apply subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria. Eligibility

Criteria : -
(1) Age : - The applicant must not be less than 18 (Eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2018. The last date of receipt of filled in Application Form through postal services (for off-line applicants) is 02.05.2018 (5 PM).
The last date of deposit of Application and/or Processing Fees in respect of only the applicants applying through on-line using United Bank of India Challan will be 04.05.2018 during banking hours due to technical reasons.

Recruitment of 4284 Constables in West Bengal Police

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Constables (Male), 4284 in total, in West Bengal Police from the interested candidates. Application Forms may be submitted either through on-line or off-line.

ELIGIBILITY:-
(a) Must be a Citizen of India.
(b) AGE: - The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years as on 01/01/2015. The Upper-age limit may be relaxed for the SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal only by 05 years and OBC candidates of West Bengal only by 03 years. The upper age limit is also relaxable for the Ex-servicemen and Home Guards serving in West Bengal Police only as per existing Government Rules.

Educational Qualification
Madhyamik or equivalent examination. The candidate must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from any other Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.

Pay scale Rs.5,400 - Rs.25,200 (Pay Band-2) + Grade Pay Rs.2,600.

The application window for submission of application forms through on-line will remain operative for the period from 03/08/2015 to 04/09/2015.

Off-line forms can also be downloaded during the above duration

The last date for receipt of filled in Application Forms through Postal Services(off-line) is 04/09/2015 (upto 05:00 PM).

However, submission of on-line forms under the UBI Challan Payment Mode remains open till 09/09/2015 (5:00 PM) due to technical reasons.
