(GTA) Gorkhaland Territorial Administration will resume its function with Binay Tamang as its new Chief Executive who is elected today.

The election to the vacant seat of GTA Chief was held today with 35 GTA members present in Sabha. The sabha elected Binay Tamang in the post of Chief Executive. The function of the GTA was stalled after Bimal Gurung resigned from the post of CE.
Binay Tamang was released on bail today. He was arrested on 22 August 2013. Bimal Gurung was not present in todays' GTA Sabha.
