The GTA tourism department has prepared a blueprint to boost village tourism in the hills. The department is hopeful this will lead to increased employment opportunities for rural area residents and enhance the scope of tourism here.

Mirik Block Joint Officer LT Bhutia said applications from those interested to join the village tourism business will be received till September 26 and a programme will be held the following day to discuss the issue in detail. (EOIC)
