Hill Trinamool Congress General Secretary NB Khawas today announced that the earlier scheduled Darjeeling District Hill TMC Convention in Kalimpong has been postponed due to the busy schedule of All India Trinamool Congress General Secretary Mukul Roy.
Khawas while talking to reporters said the meeting is likely to be held on the second week of February. He explained that the busy schedule of General Secretary Mukul Roy has led to the postponing of the meeting. He added that Roy was also unable to accompany CM Mamta Bannerjee during her visit to Darjeeling Hills this time.
The youth wing of Darjeeling district Trinamool Congress has elected Tista resident Sanjog Gupta to the post of its spokesperson, which had been lying vacant till now. The TMC today held presses meet at the party office in Thakurbari, where Kalimpong branch president of TMC Pranay Thulung announced Gupta’s name as the new spokesperson. Notably Gupta is the founding member of party’s Tista unit.
Eyeing to concretize the party in Kalimpong sub-division the TMC is currently filling up various posts that are unoccupied till date.
Glad over his promotion to the post of spokesperson Sanjog Gupta has taken up his responsibility starting today. He said since he had been functioning actively in the party he was chosen to the post. Gupta also pledged to function more efficiently for the party.
