The trend of leaving and joining one political party to another in the hills is continuing at different places. Following the same trend, today, more than two dozen people joined the TMC party in Kurseong.

The people who joined the TMC party are from minority community belonging to different places of Kurseong town and its adjoining area. Welcoming the members, Hill TMC Minority Cell Convenor NA Khan handed over the party flag in the presence of TMC Kurseong unit leaders Mohan Tamang and Sunil Pradhan at a hotel in Kurseong, this afternoon.
Khan said that under the guidance of senior TMC leadership, different political activities are on at different places in the hills to strengthen the organization. Accordingly several people from different political parties and from different walks of life have joined the party and it’s Minority Cell.
Khan further claimed “Not only in Kurseong region, people from different minority communities from other areas in the hills have now been supporting us and joining our party.” He further informed that soon, several people from the Christian Community of Kalimpong region are also likely to join the TMC party.
Meanwhile, on Friday several GJM supporters, who had recently joined the TMC party in Darjeeling, have reportedly again re-joined the GJM party.
