Jan Aawaz a pro-Gorkhaland apolitical organisation, today hosted meetings at Chenga Busty and Naxalbari to raise the issue of a separate Gorkhaland state. Addressing residents at the two venues, Jan Aawaz general secretary Dr. Munish Tamang said sincere, dedicated and educated individuals must come forward to launch a decisive struggle for statehood.
In his mission to educate the ideologies of the organisation and understand public outlook, Tamang interacted with residents of Nalxalbari at the GDNS hall and at the public ground of Chenga Busty.
He was in Mirik some time back with the same objective and is gradually moving forward on his mission.
“Leaders are not listening to the people and now it is time they lend their ears to popular opinion,” noted Tamang, who reportedly reached Gorubathan in the evening.
