Darjeeling - TMC accuses GJM of throwing stones at convoy for Bhaichung Bhutia

GJM worker,allegedly, threw  stones at Trinamool Congress (TMC ) convoy for their candidate Bhaichung Bhutia in Singla below Patlebas in Darjeeling district on Saturday.Four of the TMC party workers injured and three vehicels reportedly destroyed in the incident.TMC had a meeting in Singla today, the incident occurred below Patlebash, when TMC supporters were returning from the public meeting. TMC claimed that GJMM supporters are responsible for such criminal act.

“Three vehicles have been destroyed and four of our party workers have been injured. We have complained to the police and the Election Commission against this vandalism. They are intentionally resorting to such things because the land beneath (GJM chief)  Bimal Gurung is fast slipping away,” Goutam Dev ,North Bengal Development Minister, said.

On the other hand GJM general secretary Roshan Giri said “Morcha is not involved, the allegations are being made intentionally to discredit us and to create police pressure on us. Anti-socials may be involved in this but GJM is not involved,” 

It seems like GJM-TMC have come to the point of settling their grievances through violent measures. First it was GJM-TMC clash in kalimpong and now in Patlebas Darjeeling.
