What is significant about their win is that these four do not have any coach yet two amongst the four Prakop Rai and Diwas Rai became the new Pro kick boxing champions in their respective weights, and the other two Samden Lepcha and Sonam Lepcha got a Bronze and Silver medal.

More then the victory everyone present in the hall was actually seen cheering for Darjeeling lads. Corresponding with DT, Samden Lepcha one of the fighters, said, "it felt great... we were made to feel very welcome... the crowd appreciated our fighting skills and they were even more amused when they came to know we train on our own."

Lack of efforts on the part of GTA and West Bengal government has rendered many of our sporting talents without any avenue for training and facilities to improve their skills. However, with their sheer hard work, and talent these four lads from Darjeeling have proven that where there is a will, there is a way.
