Ghoom Jorebunglow Sporting Club (GJSC) won the 68th Independence-Day football cup in Rangpo Sikkim by beating one of the best clubs in India Mohan Bagan. This has shown the presence of the talent in the hills which is not recognized by the State government and the authorities.
GJSC, one of the oldest clubs from Darjeeling, lifted the Independence Day Football Tournament 2014 Rangpo along with Cash prize of Rs 1 lakh from Chief Guest Minister Som Nath Poudyal.
