Car rally finishes at sitong : (From above) Cars participating in Rally de Orange, organised by the GTA in association with The Telegraph, head for Sitong in Kurseong subdivision, around 65km from Siliguri, on Wednesday. Twenty-two cars participated in the rally. While seven teams were from different parts of the country, others were from the Darjeeling hills.
The cars travelled a distance of 300km in two days from Darjeeling, via Murti in the Dooars, to Sitong. Subir Roy and Nirav Mehta, members of the team which came first in the rally, open a bottle of champagne to celebrate their victory, They won trophies and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
Sk Ajgar Ali from Haldia and Md Mustafa from Tamil Nadu who finished second in the rally, pose with their trophies and cheque. They won a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
