West Bengal Staff Selection Commission begins recruitment for 390 posts

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates to fill various posts. The recruitment is for Group-B posts, eligible candidates can apply online latest by January 19, 2015.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Inspector, Backward Classes Welfare:
Must possess a degree of a recognized university or its equivalent.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak Bengali (not required in case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the District of Darjeeling).
Age Limit: Not below 20 years and not more than 32 years as on the January 1, 2014.
Pay Scale: Pay Band-3 Rs 7100-37,600 in Grade pay Rs 3900.

Minority Development Officer:
Educational Qualification:
A degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Should be acquainted with social customs and culture of the Minorities of West Bengal.
Age Limit:
Not more than 32 years and not less than 18 years as on the January 1, 2014.
Pay Scale: Pay Band-3 Rs 7100-37600 in Grade Pay Rs 3900

Research Investigator:
Educational Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree with Anthropology or Economics and Sociology.
At least two years experience on Socio-economic investigation and analysis of data in an Organization or Institute of repute;
Age Limit: Not more than 32 years on the 1st day of January, 2014, relaxable in case of candidate with exceptional qualification and experience in the relevant field.
Pay Band-3 Rs 7100-37,600 in Grade pay Rs 3900.

Fishery Extension Officer under West Bengal Junior Fishery Service Grade-II:
Educational Qualification: A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Fishery Science from a recognized University.Knowledge of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic resources and Fishing Harbours in West Bengal. Must be able to read and write Bengali or Nepali.
Age Limit: Not more than 32 years on the 1st day of January 2014.
Pay Band-3 Rs 7100-37,600 in Grade pay Rs 3900.

Scheme of Examination:
Detailed scheme of examination will be decided by the Commission depending on the number of applications received for each post and the same will be published in Commission's website in the month of February, 2015.

How to Apply:
Applications may be submitted online using Commission's website (http://www.wbssc.gov.in/) till January 19, 2015 (upto 4 pm).
No application shall be received after the last date and time for Submission of Applications.
