The Kurseong police has seized two vehicles a truck bearing number WB -73 A-7311 and a Pick Up van bearing number WB-76-8313 from near Kurseong motor stand with over 180 bags of rice and wheat being smuggled to the plains, which was meant to be distributed as ration in the hills.
The police are currently investigating the source of these rice and wheat, however given the fact that these ration were diverted to Siliguri, we wonder how much more is being send down, instead of being distributed in the hills?
