A closed door high level meeting was held in which possible future strategies were discussed. However, no one who was present at the meeting commented on the deliberations.

The GJM has called for a meeting of its party members today at  Gorkha Rangamanch Bhawan where all the party Sakha representatives and Frontal organizations are expected to attend, to discuss the future course of action.

When rumors of strike started to circulate yesterday, we (The Darjeeling Chronicle) contacted Morcha officials, and one of them confirmed that, "we have full faith in the judiciary, and we will be appealing to the High Court for bail... we are not calling for any strikes... this is peak tourist season and we appeal to the people to maintain peace and calm"
