The JAP (Jan Andolan Party) Nepali जनआन्नदोलन पार्टी (जेएपी), a new political party emerged in the hills, this was announced in Kalimpong on 27th January 2016. The party was launched by Kalimpong MLA Dr. Harka Bahadur Chettri in an event organised by his supporters in Kalimpong Mela Ground.
The JAP on its historic foundation day released its Manifesto. It has come to the notice that the newly formed party has included the issue of separate state in their Manifesto.
Party's vision is Mission 2020-25 which indicates that Jan Andolan Party would aspire for socio-economic and political changes and developments within 2020-25. Besides Seperate state beign one of the most important agendas the party would also fight for several other demands.
