Eligibility criteria:

Deputy Director:

The candidate should have a Master's degree in Anthropology/ Sociology/Economics from a recognised university. The candidates should have five-year research experience amongst the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes of West Bengal and must have published papers/books related to the same.

The age of the candidate should be below 35 year.

Assistant director:

The candidate should have a degree in Engineering or Technology or second class Master's degree in Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Commerce or equivalent qualifications from a recognised university/institute. The candidate should also have three years' experience in promotion and development of Cottage & Small Scale Industries.
Or the candidates should hold a degree from a recognised university or diploma in Engineering/ Technology from a recognised university/ institute or equivalent qualifications plus five years' experience in promotion and development of Cottage & Small Scale Industries.
The age of the candidate should be below 35 year.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor

Candidates applying for the government job by West Bengal for the post of assistant professors should be fluent in Bengali.

However, this requirement is not compulsory if the candidate is from the hill areas of the district of Darjeeling.

Eligibility criteria:

The applicant should be an Indian citizen. He/she should hold a degree in Law from any University or Institution recognized by the State Government or the Central Government. The applicant should be enrolled as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India. The candidate should also be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.

Age limit:

Candidate should be between 23 to 35 years of age as on March 1, 2014.

Application Fee:

Applicants should enclose an amount of Rs 210 along with their application form. The fee has to be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order which must be crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or in the form of a receipted Challan from a Government Treasury in West Bengal.
