Assam Public Service Commission (APSC ) is hiring for 13 vacant positions. Interested and eligible candidates have to send in their job applications before April 29, 2014.

Assistant Publicity Officer under Finance Department: One posts
Research Assistant under Finance (Budget) Department: Four posts
Special Officer (Ahom Studies): One posts

Eligibility criteria:
Assistant Publicity Officer under Finance Department:Candidate should be a graduate in Science/ Arts/ Commerce from any recognized University.Candidate should have a Degree/ Diploma in Journalism or in Mass communication or at least three years experience in Journalism in a responsible capacity/ Public relations /organization/ Govt. public Relation Department.Candidate should have good command over English and knowledge of Assamese or any regional language of the State.
Research Assistant under Finance (Budget) Department:Candidate should be a graduate in Science/Arts/Commerce from a recognized university. However, preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics.
Also, it is desirable if the candidate is holds a Diploma in M.S. Office.
Special Officer (Ahom Studies):Candidate should hold a post graduate degree in History and a certificate/ Diploma in Ahom-Tai from a recognized University.Candidate should have published works in History and proficiency in reading and deciphering of Ahom-Tai Manuscripts is desirable.
Application fee:
Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 5/- (Rs 2.50/- for SC/ST).
