JAP Again Alleges Stone Thrown on Their Election Convoy

The Jan Andolan Party yesterday alleged that GJM supporters pelted stones on their convoy.
According to the JAP sources, around 9 PM when JAP convoy which was carrying Dr. Harka Chettri was headed to East Main Road, they were stopped at China Dara and stones were thrown at them.
Local GJM workers were surprised to hear the complaint and said, "when JAP team came to East Main Road, they had to face protest from locals, and the locals didn't let JAP convoy to pass, during this time the police arrive and threatened us with lathi-charge after which the blockade was lifted... there was no instance to any one throwing anything... there was slogan shouting..."

The police however have arrested one Santosh Chettri who is driver by profession. However, police sources have said that no one has filed any formal complaint, and that they are investigating the case.
Around a week ago, Dr. Chettri had alleged similar attempt at attack on his convoy by blocking his way, in which a driver - Mani Gurung had allegedly left his vehicle to find help as the vehicle was not starting. At that time too, police had arrested the driver, and later he was released on bail.
