The GJM youth front of Kalimpong today formed a new unit committee in Chibo under constituency No. 33 during a meeting held at the Mangar Samaj Bhawan. The new youth committee that has appointed Bhanu Sharma and Arun Dhital as its president and secretary respectively, swung into action immediately.
Committee representatives met GTA sabhashad Kajim Tshering Bhutia after the meeting and discussed issues related to development of the region. They informed the sabhashad about the problems being faced by locals. They also expressed concern over various government development schemes not reaching the needy and sought proper intervention into the matter. Bhutia on his part assured he would look into the problems faced by the local residents.
