The Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) is all geared up to celebrate the 80th birthday of party chief Subash Ghisingh in Darjeeling. Party sources said a quintal of ‘laddu’ has been ordered for distribution among party members during the celebrations Sunday.
Besides various gifts, supporters have ordered their leader’s favourite flower, the bougainvillea, to wish him a long and happy life. Representatives of other organisations are also likely to be present during the celebrations, said the sources.
Ever since Ghisingh started staying at his residence in Darjeeling from March 19, he has hardly stepped out to meet his supporters. But his birthday has given his supporters a good opportunity to meet and interact with him.
